The U11 rugby program is designed to introduce young players to the very basics of rugby. Practices and games focus on running, passing, sportsmanship and above all else, having fun.
The U11's play co-ed rugby with modified contact. Players are introduced to tackling in a safe environment.
Players are encouraged to wear rugby jerseys to practice and they are reminded to wear mouth guards and cleats.
This age group competes in festivals, held on Saturday or Sunday mornings starting in early June and finishing in late August. Each festival is hosted by a rugby club in the GTA with playing beginning around 9 am and ending by noon.
