Play Rugby
The Aurora Barbarians program focuses on fun and teamwork, all well working on fundamental movement skills and rugby specific skills. We accept new players at all age groups and encourage all players to remain with the club as they get older.
In rugby, no matter the age, rarely can one player take over or control a game. Rugby is a true team sport, that needs everyone’s participation, dedication, and teamwork in order to succeed as a team.
Each age group will work on age-appropriate skills, with the younger groups focused on fundamental movement skills, such as running and catching and passing. As you get older the focus becomes more on rugby specific skills, such as scrumming and rucking. No matter the team, teamwork will always be a big part of the program.

Senior Men – training starts on Tues. April 7, 2026
Senior Women- training starts on Tues. April 21, 2026
Under 12/14- training starts on Tues. April 28, 2026
Under 6/8/10- training starts on Tues. May 5, 2026
Under 16 Boys – training starts on Tues. May 12, 2026

Tournaments usually run on Sundays Mornings in June/July August.

Senior Women Play Days

Senior Men Play Days

Under 6 or 8 or 10 Flag (2016-2021)- $250
Under 12 Intro to Tackle (2014/2015) – $325
Under 14 Boys or Girls (2012/2013) – $325
Under 16 Boys or Girls (2010/2011)- $425**
Under 18 Boys or Girls (2008/2009) – $425**
Senior Women and Students (2007 and older)- $425**
Senior Men (2007 and older)- $500**
**Includes HST for Rugby Ontario and Club Fees
Registration Details
- System Services Fees are NOT included
- Club Rugby Shorts ($50) are required for all players in the Under 12/14/16/18 and Senior Programs

- KidSport Ontario Individual child grants up to $250 per year for families facing financial barriers.
- Jumpstart Individual Child Grants Up to $300 per activity per year for children from families facing financial barriers.
- All Kid Can Play Fund- Sport Aurora- Up to 75% of fees
